Jonathan is the newest member of our team, joining us in 2024.

Jonathan looks after our payroll, credit control and sales and purchase ledger accounts.  Jonathan also takes an active role at the turnstiles on racedays.

Jonjo has been our Clerk of the Course and General Manager since 2008, having previously held the same role at Catterick Racecourse.

Michelle is the longest serving member of the management team, having celebrated 20 years at Wetherby in January 2025.  She was appointed as General Manager in 2022.  Although living in Yorkshire for almost 22 years, Michelle is originally from North Devon and feels particularly grateful to have lived and worked in two exceptionally beautiful parts of the UK.

Neal has been part of the Wetherby grounds team for over 30 years, and has a wealth of knowledge about our track and our fences. He took over the role of Head Groundsman in 2023.

Steve is the Group Finance Manager for IRM Ltd, managing finances at Wetherby, Redcar, Catterick and Thirsk Racecourse’s.

Maddy joined the team in April 2014 and is primarily responsible for our racing, non-racing schedule and event bookings.

Danielle joined the team in September 2014 and is responsible for the administration of our raceday ticket sales.

Sarah’s primary role is looking after our non-raceday Conference and Events clients and she has a wealth of knowledge regarding our venue and how it can best work for your event.  As part of a small team however, Sarah also steps in to assist with all other areas of our racing administration and can be found in the information point at the turnstiles on our busy race meetings.  Sarah is a Yorkshire Lass and proud of it!

Rebecca has worked in the Catering Industry for 15 years, and for CGC Event Caterers for almost 10 years.  Rebecca’s attention to detail and organisational skills enable us to provide a faultless service to all of our raceday hospitality clients, racegoers and conference and events clients.
