With a new format for 2025, Family Day is going to be better than ever! Head to the Paddock Enclosure for all the fun activities.

The Paddock is the place to be for Family fun in 2025!

The Paddock is at the heart of the racing action.

To create a fully immersive racing experience, we believe it is essential to have access to the Parade Ring and Winner’s Enclosure, allowing you to get an up-close view of the horses and jockeys, while soaking up the busy, vibrant and authentic racing atmosphere.

For 2025, all of our family activities will be located in the Paddock Enclosure.  So alongside the Mascot Race and Circus, you can also engage with our excellent sport.  We hope that you will have a fun and educational day!

Premier Enclosure ticket holders have automatic access to all of the facilities in both the Premier and the Paddock Enclosures.

The Course and Cars to Course Enclosure will still be open on the day for racing but there will be no additional family entertainment provided within these enclosures on the day.

Follow the link below to the Plan your Day section of our website for further Enclosure information.

Picnic in the Paddock Enclosure

Kids already come racing for Free, we provide free family entertainment and now you may also bring a picnic into the Paddock Enclosure!

We understand that the cost of family outings can add up, so for Family Day only, we’ve set aside a special picnic area in the Paddock.  Feel free to bring along small picnics, including soft drinks.

You’re also welcome to bring in folding chairs and picnic blankets for use in the picnic area but for safety reasons we ask that you don’t bring gazebo’s, BBQ’s, or glass containers.  Alcohol is also not allowed.

The Going is soft to fluffy on family day!

The Guinness World Record holding, Mascot Gold Cup sponsored by Modality Partnership, now in its 20th year, is back and we cannot wait to see the entries..

This hugely entertaining spectacle, starts with the Mascot Parade and warm up in the Parade Ring approximately one hour before the first official horse race on the card.  This is your opportunity to see them up close and decide who look like likely contenders  You can take part in the predict the winner if you want to have a flutter on your favourite.

Mascots warm up with a spot of dancing in the Parade before they make their way out to the track, where they wait in anticipation before heading out onto the track following the horses in our first race, and race over our final furlong, over jumps!

The fun also raises huge amounts for charities every year.  Sue Ryder Care organise this race and many of the Mascots run for them, but you can enter a Mascot and run for whoever you want to.  Sue Ryder have mascot outfits for hire.

If you would like to get involved on the day by running for a charity or entering a Mascot, then please head over to the Sue Ryder website for more information.

Alongside the horses and racing, and the Mascot entertainment we also have the National Festival Circus in attendance. They have three free to access shows taking place during the day, entertaining you all with their acrobatic and juggling skills.

New Beginnings Horses will be here on the day with an ambassador horse, that you can meet on the day, and they will also have their exhibition unit, so you can learn more about our equine friends.

There will also be the ever-popular Giant Inflatable slide and Bouncy Castle for the kids to expel some energy.
