Whether you’re a regular visitor, or attending for the first time, we are extremely grateful for the support that Racehorse Owners bring, and we recognise that days out as an Owner are special.

Owners Admission

Please read the information provided to assist you to plan your day

The RCA Pass System is in operation at Wetherby.  We would encourage the continued use of pre-booking your badges online through the PASS system as it does help the Racecourse to plan.  You can register on PASS until 11.59 pm the day before racing or when we have an Evening meeting up until 10.00 am on the day of racing.

The Pass help desk is also available on 01933 270 333 Mon to Fri 8.30 am to 5.00pm.

Complimentary Owners Badge Allocation

A maximum of up to 6 complimentary owners’  admission packages including badge & bistro voucher will be available for each horse declared.

Owners Groups with 7-12 Owners attending

Up to a maximum of 6 additional owners’ admission packages can be purchased at the advertised price as follows:

Standard Raceday £20.00| Feature/+ Raceday £25.00

Each package includes:  Owners Badge | Racecard | Bistro Voucher

The maximum allocation of owners badges per runner is 12.

Larger Groups / Syndicates with 13-24 Owners attending

Syndicates or Owner groups that require additional admissions above 12 but to a maximum of 24, can purchase Premier Enclosure badges at the following prices:

Standard Raceday £10.00| Feature Raceday £15.00 | Feature Plus Raceday £20.00*

*Premier Enclosure may sell out on our Feature Plus Racedays, in which case Paddock Enclosure admission will be offered at a reduced fee instead.

Larger Groups / Syndicates with 25+ Owners attending

Please contact the Racecourse directly in advance of the Raceday if you anticipate in excess of 24 owners attending, to discuss options.  We can put together a bespoke ticket and/or hospitality offer subject to availability.  If this is of interest then please contact us once the horse is entered, we can then discuss options and be ready with a package/offer should the horse declare.

Under 18’s attending

Accompanied under 18’s do not require admission badges and therefore do not count towards any allocation.  Under 18’s who are being admitted free of charge will therefore not be provided with bistro vouchers, but the menu can be purchased in the suite on request.

In order to speed up the process on entry, we request that you please contact us in advance of the day if you wish to pre-arrange additional admissions.  

Important:  We are only able to allocate owners’ badges when liaising with the registered owner of the horse.  If we are liaising with a trainer or syndicate manager, with the owner’s permission, then the registered owner’s PASS Card number must be obtained and provided to us.  You can call us on 01937 582035 or email info@wetherbyracing.co.uk.

Owners Facilities

 

The Riston Suite is an exclusive bar and bistro for Owners and Trainers, offering both Trackside and parade ring viewing, and also houses our ‘Winning Connections’ lounge. The Riston Suite can be accessed internally from Level 2 of the Millennium Stand or via the new Millennium West stair tower, which also provides lift access.

In November 2019, Wetherby received the ROA Gold Standard Award.

If you have any questions while you are here can be directed to our Owners liaison team, Lorraine Whitaker & Amanda Soar who are based in the Riston Suite for the duration of the day.

        

Owners with a horse running will be presented with Bistro Vouchers in line with our badge admission policy.

Vouchers may be redeemed up to the start of the second to last race.

Complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits is provided within the Riston Suite, and a full cash bar and cash sales catering is also available.

Example Bistro Selection

Pulled Brisket of Beef, horseradish mashed potatoes (gf)

Panko crumbed chicken breast, Katsu Curry & Sticky rice 

Mediterranean roast vegetable polenta gateau, sauteed beetroot compote filo tart, red pepper emulsion and sweet pea puree (vg,gf)*

*Vegetarian option available on request from the kitchen on the day. Please speak to your service staff.

 

The Owners Menu is available to purchase at £10.75 per person.

 

 

A vegetarian alternative will also be available on request on the day
Owners with specific dietary requirements are asked to contact us before their visit and we can discuss suitable alternatives to the menu.

Owners who wish to dine more formally may take advantage of the shared tables set-aside within our White Rose Bistro. These are offered subject to availability on a first-option basis on every raceday during the season except for our Feature Plus Meetings (The bet365 Charlie Hall Saturday & both days of the Yorkshire Christmas Meeting).  Tables cannot be reserved for the day, and are offered on a dine and vacate basis.  When available a choice of two sitting times may be offered.

The White Rose Bistro offers an a la carte menu and you will be charged for whatever you order from the menu on the day.  Owners Bistro Vouchers when issued can be used as part-payment against your food bill on the day.

Alternatively, subject to availability we can offer our Dine & View Restaurant Package at the discounted price of £85.00 per person.  Dine & View offers a private table within a trackside viewing suite with a four-course Grand Buffet luncheon included.

We often also have Private Suites available to Owners at discounted rates, however this is subject to availability and therefore not always an option on our Feature and Feature Plus Racedays.

Owners may also access all other public facilities within the Premier and Paddock Enclosures.

 

Trainers Facilities

 

Trainers with a declared runner are entitled to two admissions per meeting for themselves or a third-party representative on the day.

Please note these will be owners’ badges.

Wetherby Winners!

Sometimes you Win, more often you Learn!

If you are lucky enough to have a Winner at Wetherby, then you will be presented with a memento from the Winner’s Enclosure.

This memento is a replica that is not available to take away; instead, we will arrange for your memento to be personalised with the race day date and the Horse’s name and posted out to your preferred address.  This can take 5-7 working days and will come to you directly from our supplier Burridge Trophies.

We will also post a complimentary photograph and USB of your race following the day.  We can also arrange to forward a copy to you via a We Transfer file on email.

Our team will take your contact details on the day, or if you are not here in person we will contact your trainer for the information.

You will be invited to watch a re-run of your race in our Winning Connections suite, ‘Thirst Past the Post!’, as the name suggests you will also be treated to a complimentary glass of fizz to celebrate your success.  The suite is located within our new Owners Bar, and you will be looked after by one of our Owners liaison team.

If you have a horse placed 2nd or 3rd, then as a small consolation and as Thanks to you for running your horse with us, we will treat you to a complimentary bottle of fizz, to drink here or to take home.

 

Owners Entrance & Parking

We provide dedicated parking for Owners, Trainers and Jockeys, which is located in Car Park ‘D’.

The Owners & Trainers Entrance is located at the rear of Car Park ‘D’, and is situated between the stables and Saddling Boxes / Pre-parade Ring.

We have dedicated parking for Owners displaying a Disabled parking label.

Going

The going will be updated 5 days prior to each race fixture and is displayed within the race fixture information, (Click the small information icon next to the Going Report) alternatively the Going can also be found by:

Photography & DVDs

The Racecourse will provide each winning owner with a complimentary USB of their race and a photograph of their horse on the day.

We apply RCA guidelines regarding Amateur photography and do not allow unaccredited or amateur photographers, including those with Owners badges,  access to any areas of the Racecourse. i.e. Parade Ring, Winners’ Enclosure, Racetrack etc.  Amateur photography with professional-level camera equipment is only allowed by permit, available at either the Owners Entrance or the Racecourse Office.

Stables, Track & Equine Welfare

Wetherby has stabling for 91 runners each raceday. We offer boxes with mainly paper bedding, but can provide shavings on request. Only very occasionally during the Jump season do we fill all our boxes, so there is usually the possibility of bringing a travelling companion or a ‘traveller’ with a runner at Wetherby. Our Flat racing has proved popular and we are generally full to capacity.

Like all racecourse, we are fully committed to the care of all our equine competitors, and we have a first class panel of Racecourse Veterinary Surgeons available during each raceday. In addition, should your horse stay at the racecourse the night prior to racing and become distressed in anyway, a standby vet is on call to deal with any emergencies that might arise.
