Meet the Team

Jonjo took up the position of Chief Executive in September 2008, moving from Catterick Racecourse where he was the General Manager for six years.

Michelle has been with Wetherby Racecourse since January 2006 having previously worked with IRM at both Redcar & Catterick Racecourse, initially starting her career there as a finance and accounts clerk.  Since then she has been responsible for delivering all aspects of the Racegoer experience including managing our marketing and promotions, our website and ticketing, and our racing hospitality sales and corporate sponsorships, as well as building our non-racing events business.

Michelle was promoted to the role of General Manager in January 2023.

Neal has been part of the Wetherby grounds team for over 30 years, and has a wealth of knowledge about our track and our fences. He took over the role of Head Groundsman in 2023.

Steve is the Group Finance Manager for IRM Ltd, managing finances at Wetherby, Redcar, Catterick and Thirsk Racecourse’s.

Maddy joined the team in April 2014 and is primarily responsible for our racing, non-racing schedule and event bookings.

Danielle joined the team in September 2014 and is  responsible for the administration of our raceday ticket sales.

Sarah joined the team in 2018 and is primarily responsible for our non-racing schedule and event bookings.

Andrew Copley and Guy Naylor of Premier Racing Safety Limited, manage all aspects of Health and Safety for our racing and non-racing events

Constant Security Services licenced stewards manage all aspects of security for our racing and non-racing events
